The British weather keeps all of us on our toes. Its unpredictability is the only certainty! We all recognise the importance of fresh air and outdoor play for children so Playground Shelters are a useful means of extending play, whatever the weather.

We think of your school playground as an extension to the class room. Although our climate has a deserved reputation there are actually very few days in a year when it is not possible for children to venture outside - there are many when being outside is actually much more preferable!

You may think of our shelters primarily to protect from our renowned damp weather. Yet according to the dermatologists 80 percent of our total lifetime sun exposure occurs in the first 18 years of life. So even in the U.K. sun prevention in childhood is important to the prevention of skin cancer later in life.

Covered space within the playground makes sense, either on a small scale as a playhouse or cabin for a small group of children at playtime, or maybe a larger construction to accommodate a whole class.
